Kiel Olympic Week
Kiel Olympic Week was my first international event of the season and took place in Kiel, Germany. The event took place from the 20-24th of June and we were greeted with exceedingly strong winds for the entirety of the regatta. The event boasted a fleet of 118 boats and many Olympic sailors from both London 2012 and Rio 2016.
I had a great start to the week lying in 23rd after the first day and qualifying for Gold fleet in 35th position on the second day. The last few races of the regatta were very difficult and unpredictable and saw me drop to 45th overall on the final day.
I am really happy with the way that I sailed this week and learnt a lot in the last few races which I hope to apply to the Under 21 World Championships which will be taking place in just over a week's time in Gdynia, Poland.
