Princess Sofia Regatta

The Princess Sofia Regatta was the first big international regatta of the season and my first experience of senior fleet racing. For most of the week we were greeted with tricky light winds, with the exception of one day of racing.

For the Qualifying Series, I continued to get good starts and sail really well but unfortunately I just missed out on a place in the Gold Fleet by only 4 points due to a yellow flag in race 3. From then on, I continued to make bad mistakes which cost me a lot of places.

Despite having a disappointing event, I am really pleased with the promise I showed during the qualifying series. My next steps from here are to iron out the weak areas before the World Cup in Italy.
